we have a lot to be thankful for. our school gave us the week of thanksgiving off, so we were able to fly to the states and surprise ryan's side of the family at thanksgiving.
it was such a great feeling for us to be inside of a real home, not just a one room apartment. to be able to sit on carpet and allow our feet to nestle in. to use a real oven and have a baking frenzy was blissful. to get away from the huge city and become enveloped by God's creation, to play games in english, and to join in on the annual turkey bowl.
the turkey bowl is a flag football game that the nielsens do every year. they invite friends and family to field for an "innocent" game of football, (as innocent as you can get with a family full of competitors.)
the white team was the winning team.
we have so much to be thankful for.
