once ryan got into town we headed towards the mountains to start our hike. it was a relaxing hike full of several small waterfalls, trail, stones, walkways and wildlife. it was so refreshing for us to get away from the city; concrete, buildings blocking the sky, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with millions of other people, breathing in exhaust and street food. at sokcho we could see for miles in the distance, we were breathing fresh air, the scent from the wet trees was all around us, the breeze from the ocean was light, and being able to see green trees was a must.
when we started our hike, we were greeted at the entrance by a korean woman handing us samples of wine. i have never started out a hike in the morning with a sip of wine, but when in rome...
we continued up the mountain for about an hour and a half, had a picnic by a waterfall and headed back down the mountain so that we could spend more time at the beach playing games and having fun with sparklers.
the above picture is a new pose i just learned and am still trying to get down. it was a little scary to do it for my third time ever on a narrow sharp rock, but now i know where i need to improve.
