nami island life

as soon as we arrived off the zip-line, there was a live columbian band playing, families picnicking, children playing badminton, couples taking naps in the grass behind trees, people enjoying water sports, and lot of people riding around on bikes.

below is a picture of the tower we zip-lined from.

nami island is kind of a romantic place where you can spend the night in log cabins that are beautifully furnished with rustic hardwood floors.

Pt.2 zipline

while my parents were here, we took them to nami island.  there are two ways to get to the island, one is a ferry, and the other in a zip-line.  naturally, we took the latter and zip-lined to the island.  the zip-line is 940 meters and about 10 stories high.  the average time spent on the zip-line is 1 minute.  it was so peaceful gliding above the water and enjoying the scenery.  we all wanted to go again.  when we got to the island, we had a wonderful time.  more pictures to come...

Pt. 1 the powells do badminton

my parents came to visit us in korea.  ryan and i thought it was only fitting to take them to play badminton, since it is the national past-time.

reason #387 of why i love my husband

ryan went to the park to shoot the basketball around.  about 10 minutes into his practice some middle-school kids started gathering around him.  they would "oooh" and "ahhhh" every time ryan made a shot. finally ryan turned around and offered to teach them how to shoot a basketball.  he's such a nice guy.
