We live in South Korea!!!

Living in South Korea is going to be great!  First of all, we love the food.  Korean food usually consist of 5 plates of vegetables and meats that sit in the center of the table, and one big bowl of rice that is placed in front of each person.  Typically one would take some of the vegetables, dip it in a sauce, drop it on the rice and take a bite of the combo.  So good.
There are a lot of venders on the streets selling beautiful foods.

Second of all, we love our apartment!  It is on the 6th floor in a building right in the city.  One whole wall in our apartment is a giant window where we have an amazing view of the city and mountains.  We have a big tv, which we get about 300 channels, 30 or so are in English, and about 4 channels are movie channels.  Since it is raining a lot today, we are staying in and have been playing cards and watching movies.
This is our favorite place to play cards, eat dinner and talk about being married.

Thirdly, we really like our school.  It is going to take some time for me, (Katie), to get used to being a teacher and all the energy that goes into planning a lesson and disciplining children, but I can take it.
This is our school, Dasom Kindergarten.  It is located in the heart of the city.

The bathrooms at our school are so cute.  The countertops go to our knees and the toilets go to our shins.  Luckily there is an adult toilet in there.
Fourthly, we found a park that is walking distance from our house that has badminton courts!  The previous tenants in our apartment left us two rackets and a birdie!

Fifthly, we found a gym right across from our apartment that has a yoga studio affiliated with it!

It has been taking some time for us to get into a normal sleeping schedule, since we are 15 hours ahead of Colorado time.  Our usual sleeping time starts at 7pm and ends around 4am.  We're working on it.
This is us right after we ate the best sushi of our lives with Mi-ye, a woman we work with.

I could go on and on, but I won't, because we are married and we want to be doing what married people do instead of making a list for you to read...

We're Married!

Our wedding was the best we could have ever asked for.  All of the people that mean the most were there to support and celebrate us.

making it official

Katie's highlights of the day:
-singing "purple bag" with all of my bridesmaids
-seeing Ryan for the first time while surrounded by mountains, horses and a beautiful fountain
-saying my vows and realizing that what I am promising to Ryan is something so sacred and meaningful
-my dad's toast to us.  He put on a wig in honor of me since I am so "crazy" and he is so "straight laced"
-all the the toasts that our friends and families made
-dancing with Ryan
The first time I saw my dad after I was all ready.

My mom and I.  She made my dress.

All my beautiful bridesmaids.

Ryan's highlights of the day:
-breakfast with the boys
-seeing Katie for the first time
-the private gathering the bridal party had in the dressing room right after the ceremony.  We all stood around together making toasts to one another.
-watching my dad dance solo to "play that funky music white boy" as everyone circled around him on the dance floor.
-amazing burritos!

Katie giving Ryan one of his wedding gifts and a letter she wrote to him.

The reception on the ranch, and Ryan's beautiful mother who is so excited.

This is the back-drop of where we said "I do"
on the ranch where we were married

Thank you all for sharing this time with us, whether you were present at the wedding or not, we appreciate and feel your love for us.
