culture shock and man gifts day 2 and 3

for my husbands birthday month, day 2, i gave him a bag of his favorite candy, skittles.  he has an hour and half communte to work so i wanted him to have something to snack on while driving to stay awake.

for day 3, i scheduled a golf lesson for him to get some pointers to work on his swing.

it's tough shopping for a guy.  especially my guy.  he doesn't want or need anything ever.  it's one of the reasons why i love him and want to get him little gifts this month, because he would never do these things for himself.

we are in process of buying new cars, getting jobs, finding a place to live, getting cell phones, getting new bank cards and starting our american life back up.  its been really weird driving everywhere in colorado when i'm not use to having to drive at all.  in south korea the subway and buses go anywhere your heart desires.  and taxi's will fill in the rest for a starting rate of $2.40.

we have had a lot of adjustments and culture shock to work through, but it's all starting to come together.

america and man gifts

we just moved back to the united states and are excited to continue to explore our roots just as much as we had explored south korea.  we have been very busy trying to get our life in order with the move so i have not been blogging, (sorry to any of you who actually follow this blog.)

well, it's the first day of august and it happens to be my husband's birthday month.  this year i decided i wanted to do something for him every day of the month leading up to his birthday, which is the last day of the month.

today he woke up to shower, so i placed a card on his bag with a gift card inside for a shampoo and shave at our local barber shop.  this shampoo and shave comes with a hot towel on the face and a head and neck massage.  he has never done anything like this so he is really excited.

everyone should have a birthday month.  or at least a birthday week.
